The old Ford Escorts were noisy and so were my Caravans with the Chrysler 2.4 engines (not GEMA). We think our Pat is more quiet than the last Caravan we had with 2.4L engine. If I remember correct, it seems that my 2014 Patriot with auto transmission is more quiet than the 2013 I test drove with the CVT.

VTEC and VVT-i systems were developed by Honda and Toyota respectively in order to improve the efficiency of car engines. VTEC (Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control) is a valvetrain system developed by Honda that allows engines to achieve turbo level specific output without the bad fuel efficiency that turbocharging normally introduces. VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing with The VVT-i system works by using an oil-pressure actuator to adjust the location of a camshaft. This results in better low-end and high-end performance and overall engine efficiency. Early 1GR-FE engines only used VVT-i on the intake camshafts. That changed in 2009, when Toyota added Dual-VVT-i to the 1GR-FE in the 4Runner and FJ Cruiser. 16. blueportcat. • 2 yr. ago. Toyota VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing) only changes timing unlike Honda VTEC which can change both timing and the actual valve lift profile. The latter allows the engine to have essentially dual personality and more aggresive power gain especially during the switch over.

The K15B is a 1.5-liter inline four-cylinder, naturally aspirated gasoline engine debuted in 2018. Suzuki K15B engine is the biggest version of the K-series inline-fours. The 1.5L engine became a standard option for Suzuki's popular models, such as the fourth-generation mini SUV Suzuki Jimny (Sierra/Global), Suzuki Ciaz, and seven-seat compact
