Flashingforward 10 years, "Dora and the Lost City of Gold" picks up with the perpetually elementary school-aged Dora now a teenager ( Isabela Moner ), and one unable to shake off her TV-ready Doraand the Lost City of Gold is not a good film. Each bit of adventure, drama, and suspense or lack thereof falls flat and vanishes immediately into thin air. Every henchman or foe that crosses paths with the teens is easily knocked down with no real fight or anxiety.
Theanimated young naturalist who had an enduring appeal on children across continents now gets a live-action treatment in 'Dora And The Lost City Of Gold' that takes us on her comic adventure trip beyond the city limits. Dora (Moner) grew up in a South American jungle with her parents Cole (Pena) and Elena (Longoria), but things change when she enters high school.
